just a quick picture post!

Ladies an Gentlemen, meet Ampersand Creptier
(the last name is a mixture of Crepin and Fortier)
this little boy is only 8 weeks old but can already sit on command!

Amp at 4 weeks (no, he wasn't separated from his mother that early. don't worry)

Amperbutt vs. the Kleenex
...the kleenex didn't make it...

Eric and Amp pretending to be asleep for the camera

thats it for now picture wise
but trust me, our little boy will have MANY more pictures taken of him. and you folks will be subjected to almost all of them :p

like i said before, he's 8 weeks old and already sits on command! it only took 3 days for him to fully grasp it. we're now working on "off" to get down from things, "stand" to stay on all fours, and "down" to lay down. "Paw" will probably come after. (don't tell eric but i've also been teaching him to do that thing dogs do where they shake their heads really quickly from side to side with his toy or bandana by saying, "show me how tough!" because he only does it to show off when he meets new people and only with his own toys.
the cats seem to love him. Ash actually twitches his tail in front of amp's face to get him to play which amp will lightly paw at or nip. On wednesday, after "Ampersand Meets Dr Murray" amp was sleeping off his booster on the kitchen floor, Ash came over, flopped down onto his side, and started twitching his tail waiting for a happy little puppy to react but when Amp stayed asleep Ash tilted his head back, twitched his tail again, and then mioux-ed. eric said it looked like he was concerned!

speaking of eric, i have never seen him more openly in love with something. he doesn't care who sees him cooing at the little guy :D

although, and i REALLY hate to admit it... amperbutt seems to be going through the puppy version of "the terrible twos." He barks a lot and seems to do nothing but bite while playing. it's weird though because it's not an aggressive thing. he still goes onto his back without struggle WHILE biting. our guess is that he doesn't know the difference between playing with people and playing with other puppies. we're making sure we don't do anything to encourage it but i'm pretty sure (or at least hoping) that it's something he'll grow out of and forget. especially when he realizes that biting = playtime is over. once the biting does past i'll be showing him off more. you might just get an invite to a Meet our Ampersand party. oh yeah, btw, i'm totally one of those pet owners. haha

OK this post took for effing ever! between a puppy, a boyfriend, and a mac that i'm not used to at all ...it is way way past my bedtime. so, goodnight and enjoy the cute puppy pictures!
