a post!
san francisco was...interesting! it was great to see the llama and i only got to see miss delk briefly, since she ended up in oregon for the rest of the weekend (poo.). turned out that i arrived in the city just in time to witness the gay pride parades. veryvery...um...eye-opening. it's strange walking around and having people assume that you're gay until they realize you're not. oh well. it was still a ton of fun to hang out with llama and catch up with her. and charlie the cat too! i miss charlie-cat. mark picked me up at the airport with the motorcycle and i got to ride it for the first time...whee!!!
july 4th weekend mark and i rode the motorcycle with a gang of harleys up in new hampshire. i burned my back for the first time ever (suck) and got to see my first drum corp show in beverly. fun! we watched fireworks on the charles and went to bed happily tired. my mom (finally!) decided to come up with my brother and sister to visit me in boston the following week and we had a ball. mark snagged us tickets to the blue man group, which was a fun show, but too full of strobe lights for my liking. they were only here two days, but everybody ate lots of yummy food and had a grand old time. i can't wait to go home and visit. my brother's going to college in the fall at univ. of illinois at champlaine (or however that's spelled). he got a 5 on his computer science ap test. what a smart puppy! i'm proud of him.
the following weekend we rode the motorcycle to hyannis and clowned around. we stopped and had a sandwich at sandwich (or did we?) and we went to three or four beaches and hung out by the pier wishing we had a sailboat. on the way back we went to marina bay, which was like a mtv spring break resort. that was strange and so we left and went bowling at 11pm on a sunday night. they would only let us play one round, but i did good!
yesterday was a most funtastic day! we woke up around 630 (cause we could, i guess) and mark went downstairs to screw down subfloor in the kitchen and bathroom (he's doing some work for his landlord) and i made some yummy orange french toast with spiced walnuts and bacon. yum! then i helped him finish screwing stuff down and then we went up to seabrook, nh. it was a beautiful ride and the beach was great. it was small and mostly small groups of families, much better than the next beach up, the hamptons, which was a stupid beach town with lots of stupid teenagers and too many cars. mark jumped into the ocean fully clothed (well, not in a bathing suit anyway) and tried to ride waves (he's not very good yet, since it's only his third time in an ocean) while i wiggled my toes in the sand and wondered why the seaweed was so pretty. after we had our fill of fun in the sun we jumped back onto the bike and rode home (still wet. gross!). we stopped to play mini golf on the way (i sucked really bad, but i got a hole-in-one!), and finished the day off watching pirates of the carribean (lots of pretty "scenery" in there!).
other than my silly weekend adventures, i've started researching grad schools. for those of you who don't know yet, i'm thinking of going to business school for an mba, and then probably going to grad school later for something else (and end up going to school for the rest of my life everytime i want to change fields). so i gotta study hard for my gmats (sucks, i took the gre's for nothing!) and again try to please my dad by feebly attempting to get into harvard business school. haha...wish me luck. right. for now, i continue to work away at my little crepe shop, feeding the hungry wanderers of harvard square and going on with my life, wondering what in the world to do with myself.
