Met up with my friend from undergrad last Thursday after going back and forth UP, Cubao and back. I was supposed to stop by Starbucks Corinthians to do some short studying but decided to do a beeline towards Gloria Jeans Glorietta.
Traffic was crazy, took me an hour to get there. Obliviously I was running on very, very low gas, my meter already lighting up. Still I raced my way to Makati on just that, praying that I would still make it to the gas station when I get home.
I met Celine and Tin, my ex's friends and had a little chat. They had this concerned tone about me and my ex and that I ought to get a new bf. In my mind, in God's time...
Gloria Jeans is a new spot in Glorietta and the first time I saw the place, fell in love with it! Cozy, good music and not crowded. I grabbed a spot under a spot light and waited for Bethel to arrive from her office. I brought with me some stacks of cases for Torts.
Bethel arrived and it was pleasant seeing her again after all these time. We talked about a lot of things like from my studies, to family, to her being married... There was this feeling of comfort that I felt when I get to talk to her. Probably it was the fact that not only is she my friend, she's also my Bible-study buddy who has helped me a lot from these past years.
We left GJ at around 9pm... As I was going back to the parking area I was praying that my car would start, I was so worried about my gas. Prayers answered, my car had an easy start, drove on neutral going down the parking ramp and maintained a 2,000 RPM mark until I reached the nearest gas station...
