an attempt to summarize the lj year in copycat formation
except as it turns out not every month has a thingy posty thing. but the plan was to post the first sentence from the first entry of each month from the last year. here's a pathetic attempt.
JANUARY: while sometimes its nice to have a memory for dates like noneother, at the moment, i wish that portion of my memory had drifted away with much of the rest of my memory with all that pot smoking done in high school.....
FEBRUARY: for the first time all month long, I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY MY ELECTRIC BILL!
MARCH: i'm getting irritated at this all-too-often-occurance.
APRIL: i've been a remarkably happy person in the last few months- really stoked on myself, stoked on what i'm doing.
MAY: what the FUCK kind of UNIVERSITY LIBRARY closes at 8PM on saturday night of FINALS WEEK and doesn't reopen until NOON the following day?!?!
JUNE: its 5:15am. i just got home from day 2 at the new job. i have to be at my other job (vet clinic) in 9 hours, better sleep.
JULY: so it ocurred to me that, although i check my friends page frequently on lj, i haven't posted much here
AUGUST: Hi everyone, my friend is calling for help in compiling a zine on being a trans-ally.
SEPTEMBER: the lifestyle i lead: i've noticed in my friendships that i tend to have a lot of good friends, and i tend to latch onto hanging out with a few of them A LOT for a few weeks at a time.
OCTOBER: my days keep getting weirder. somebody stop me before i eat my own feet and wash 'em down with a gallon of yellowtail.
NOVEMBER: nothing to see here. no entries.
DECEMBER: see above. haven't posted since oct.
in conclusion i've learned that my entries are rather dull. hmmm.....how can this be more exciting?!?
changes in life for those interested:
laura and rena moved back to portland this morning.
school started, i'm a mapping geek.
i passed calculus
i (might) graduate
i took up cross country skiing w/ the dogs- something i haven't done since i was a kid
i'm having a lot of fun with a certian someone
i'm housesitting
i need a roommate
i'm in love with winter (the season, not my friend)
i'm going snowboarding this weekend
i went to kansas for a week
i wrote a new poem-haven't written one in nearly a year- and there's a slam upcoming
its a dirty poem
and nerdy too
i've been seeing good music lately-namely the duhks
awesome shows coming to town- bearfoot, darrell scott, david sedaris, melissa ferrick, the mountian goats
i've been playing a ton of scrabble, speed scrabble, boggle, set and worst case scenario board game
i love being a nerd.
