Right. So I don't know you. And I don't know your feelings about your work. For that matter, I don't quite know about *my* feelings about your work either.
But I think that everyone should be able to celebrate their lives and the days that are important to them. I'm sorry that you can't do so in the way you'd like to, but I hope you have a sense of purpose to what you are doing and why you are in Iraq this Christmas. On the bright side, you have a chance to escape some of the consumeristic capitalism and think about the essential joys of the season for you. That cannot be enough, but nevertheless, I hope that is enough to last untill the next time you are home.
I know it's not the same, but I've skipped so many holidays that are important for me from my home. Yea, it's because of my choice to live in your awesome country, but I have a sense of the pain of having to miss something important to you. It sux. Sometimes it's better to try to forget it altogether. Other times, it's consoling to try to do something festive with others in the same boat. Maybe you can try that for new year ?
Belatedly, merry Xmas. Hope 2005 has been relatively good and hope 2006 gets a whole lot better. And thanx for doing what you do.
i have my sense of purpose .. a lot of it just doesnt agree with what's happening here. and as for the escaping consumeristic capitalism .. it actually happens just the same here .. hah.
what it basically boils down do, is the fact that i'm done and tired of doing someone else's job or filling in for someone else's agenda and i just cant wait to get home and be with my friends and family. (That include you Cheme)
