New fandoms are big and scary
Is anyone on my tiny little flist watching Torchwood? If so...
I need a hug. A hug and a pat on the back and the assurance that my favorite character didn't actually die.
I had been holding out to watch the American broadcast of CoE (except that I cheated and just watched the last episode online). And now that it's all over, now that it's wreaked such havoc on my emotions, I feel the urge to seek out Torchwood fandom. Apparently I have a tendency to join fandoms once canon is over. :) But I'll tell you, new fandoms are intimidating. I bookmarked a whole bunch of comms and fics, but it's hard to tell where to start.
This is where the request comes in (besides the hug, that is):
Does anyone have any recs they'd like to share? Or know talented authors writing in the fandom?
At the moment, I have a paricular need for "fix everything bad that happened!" fic, or "everyone's somehow still alive!" AU. Basically, fic to make me feel better. :) Because as much as I *loved* this season, it just about tore out my heart and stomped on it.
