greyness and assignments and metal and conchiglie

my stats lecturer humiliated me because i didn't hand in the first stats assignment. yet i don't hate him yet. (odd palindromic touch? usually i'd change it but i'll leave it for now.) i spent most of today's (two hour!) stats lecture writing "the grey of ..." (for ... read: [some object, eg 'concrete columns' or 'the ocean under overcast skies'). i filled about 4 or 5 pages with these lines. but this may congeal into something of an acceptable standard to hand in for my creative writing first exercise (due thursday -would be friday but for good friday), so far from wasting my time, i've made it doubly efficient.
also, my maths lecturer made a comment about the first maths assignment: "some people didn't finish all the assignment, but that's their choice i suppose..." hey, i still got 57%, that's 7% more than i needed. blah to you all, academics.
i got drunk on friday night and have felt dehydrated ever since.
we went to see enforce, gallows for grace and combined deathtoll in inglewood on saturday night. we were very impressed with combined deathtoll. they wore gas mask things that were also microphones that lit up when they spoke or sang or howled or growled or screamed. our oopsy daisy pales in comparison. enforce were very underwhelming, although headlining, and we left before they finished.
we saw three crashes that night. one at the west freeway entrance off south st with an ambulance, one at the traffic lights at charles st and newcastle st in west perth with a police van parked in the middle of the intersection and another one near mt lawley with police directing traffic.
hopefully dali and i are going to make stuffed giant conchiglie on friday night. (big shell pastas stuffed with ricotta and pumpkin with tomato sauce then baked.)
