QA Test Engineer
Summary
The candidate will be part of Seagate's Corporate Web Services Quality Assurance organization. This position requires that the candidate be willing to work in a decentralized team environment with members in both the US and Asia to perform quality assurance testing of software applications. The candidate should be able to quickly gain an understanding of applications, its process flows, and business rules by reviewing its requirements and design documentation. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate testing progress through status reports. The candidate must be self-motivated and committed to the successful deployment of quality applications in a timely manner with a meticulous eye for detail.
Responsibilities
· Take a leadership role in translating Software Requirements and Specifications into highly-structured, re-usable test plans.
· Manage projects and provide strategic direction.
· Interface with and provide technical leadership to offshore teams.
· Translate Test Plans into manual and automated Test Scripts
· Provide QA testing labor estimates based on requirement and design documentation
· Provide status reports on test coverage and code/application maturity
· Create and conduct Functional, Integration, Use Case, Regression and System tests
· Assist software developers in recreating defect conditions/verifying defects
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 4 years experience and specific knowledge in the following areas:
· QA experience in testing web-based applications, web infrastructure (content management, portal, translation management, etc.), and/or business applications (Sales / Distribution / Costing / Pricing are preferred)..
· Software testing methodologies, processes, and techniques.
· Knowledge of different types of SDLC and Bug Life cycle.
· Diverse experience in Information Technology with emphasis on Quality Assurance and Testing.
· Experienced in Analysis, Design and Development of Test Strategy for various types of testing, Test Plan &Test Cases (manual as well as automated) preparation and its execution.
· Proficient in developing test documentation of Quality Assurance methodologies
· Extensive Documentation experience of test cases, test results and matrices.
· Good in Planning QA assignments. Participated in design reviews, module walk through and review of documents produced by the technical writers.
· Skilled in Business Functionality testing and grasping complicated Business.
· Performed Regression, Performance, Sanity, Smoke, Stress, GUI, 508 Compliance, Database, System & User Acceptance level (UAT) testing.
· Experienced in User interface, business requirements analysis and System specification analysis.
· Experienced in generating Test Case from software Use Cases.
· Strong experience in entire software development life cycle. Excellent interpersonal and technical skills, quick learner and results focused team player.
· Experience working closely with developers for the bug fixes and constantly interacting with the project managers.
· Participated in Process Management programs and Internal Quality Audits.
Minimum of 1 -2 years experience and specific knowledge in the following areas:
· Proficiency with Structured Query Language(sql) and the validation of data.
Desired:
· Experience using HP Quality Center
· Experience in working with test tools such as JUnit, QTP, LoadRunner, Toad.
· Experience working with Oracle databases.
· Experience working with LDAP directories.
· Experience working with one or more of the following systems: Vignette Content Management System, Vignette Portal, SalesForce.com, Vendavo, Oracle ERP, Savvion, Informatica ETL, Business Objects.
· Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: HTML, XML, Javascript, Java.

Description
Position Summary:
This position is mainly responsible for conducting detailed background investigations for employees and contractors accessing Seagate facilities and systems. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to perform detailed data mining and assist the Corporate Investigations Manager with complex activities associated with investigations and the implementation and maintenance of various security programs. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to write reports in a concise and thorough manner and under strict timelines. Must be able to conduct thorough inquiries by interviewing, collecting, documenting, and analyzing data diligently to their logical conclusions, work within a corporate environment and interface with various departments within the company; must maintain sensitivity and confidentiality of material developed as a result of internal investigations, aid in developing corporate investigation procedures and programs. Assist on related project and/or assignments as needed all under deadline criteria
Position Description:
Conduct background investigations and investigate security reports, circumstances, situations and/or allegations that would be determined a liability to the company; in particular, violations of local, state, and federal laws, violations of company policy/procedure and/or company world-wide Standard of Ethics under the supervision of the Corporate Investigations Manager.
Qualifications
Three to five years within a corporate environment. Prior law enforcement experience, computer forensic or IT background (4+ years) a plus. Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical analysis, make oral presentations, conduct training, and experience working in a team environment.
Education:
BS/BA degree is required in Criminal Justice or business field and /or equivalent experience. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Reporting to the Vice President of Compensation and Benefits at our Corporate Headquarters in Scotts Valley, California this position will be responsible for driving strategic planning, development, implementation, administration and coordination of all US Benefit Programs in addition to working in partnership with the C&B group in EMEA and Asia to manage corporate oversight of International programs.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Establish direction and build on vision for ongoing benefit delivery in alignment with Company philosophy, culture, and business objectives.
· Communicate, educate, and market benefits strategy, program value and objectives to the broader HR organization and Senior Management within the Company.
· Design, innovate, and implement quality programs.
· Establish appropriate budgetary and cost controls to ensure optimized program delivery, security and value over time for internal Seagate customers.
· Analyze Benefit trends, market development and monitor Seagate's position to market in all key benefit areas.
