My Leafblower Tribe name

I think it should be "Hair full of sticks."

Another weekend that didn't involve packing up the truck and heading out of town meant that I got to spend Saturday morning working on sets, getting covered in gray paint and learning what a "fabric Dutchman" is. Hint: it isn't something dirty. Messy, yet. But not dirty.

Came home and got cleaned up for dinner at the local Greek restaurant with family and friends. The food was great, and after dinner I got taken for a walk by ToddlerNephew, who has amazing stamina. We went about four blocks, walking some and running some, stopping to jump on utility covers and to smell the flowers.

milfbowling, I apologize for not rsvp'ing for your party! We'd also gotten a second-hand invitation to a tipi-blessing, but I confess that kind of thing just weirds me out -- especially in a group of people I don't know.

Sunday morning I grabbed the leafblower and cleaned up the front and back decks, with the intention of washing and treating them, but mastersantiago wants to take a power washer to them first to get all the crap out from between the planks. I still need to get a hedge trimmer for the shrubbery, too, but for the moment the place looks a little bit neater. mastersantiago cleaned up inside the house, and then we spent the evening working on his gambeson.

There are some things you just don't expect to see in a sleepy little mountain town -- I opted to grab a pizza for dinner, and on my way downtown I passed by the local hitch-hiker spot. Sunday night's occupant was a tall, skinny guy in a powder blue suit jacket and skirt. I can't remember now if his shoes matched his outfit.

family, home schweet home, another day in the life
