Geek Girl Navigates The Lego Movie:
At first, I felt a little bit ashamed at how much I wanted to see “The Lego Movie”, but I got over it very quickly after I not only admitted I wanted to see it, but followed through.
From the style of the animation to the vocal cast, “The Lego Movie” shows that even what could have been a movie-length commercial can be elevated far above its corporate underpinnings. It’s funny, well-done, and plays with audience expectations brilliantly.
Also, it kind of makes me want Batman to do the soundtrack to my life and to have Lego flames surrounding me every time I go outside.
