Post the explanation of where your user name came from. Then tag TEN users whose explanations you'd like to hear. If you are tagged, then post the explanation to your page.rosweldrmr = Roswell Dreamer (because most places don't allow user names long enough to suit it.) And when I was in high school, our thespian troope was

And it's funny you should post this, because I did wonder if it stood for Roswell Dreamer. Yet I had a suspicion that you're a Polar, so I thought maybe I was wrong. I was a Dreamer once myself... mostly during season 1 though, because the way they were portrayed was just so dramatic (for the lack of a better word). I've long since become a Rebel though. ;p
I shall do the meme soon! I doubt it'd be all that interesting though.

You're a roswell shipper?
Marry me...
-_-
yes, didn't we all start out as dreamers. It's the pilot I tell you - the look he gives her, "Don't say anything, please." GAH. How could I not? and "In his eyes, I was beautiful." risking everything to save her... my oh my.
And a Rebel at that. I'm sorry, I simply can not abide the WHORE that is Tess. (not that I care about Max, mind you) but how could she, to Alex??? Poor, sweet, lovable Alex. He didn't deserve it. No no, I'm sorry I just can't/won't ever like her. [At least not in a universe where she killed Alex]
But that just makes my night to met an old Roswell buddy.
And yes, the Polar monster has eaten away at my heart. I write fics, I make vids (which - I'm not bragging or anything - I've won awards for). So yes. I always love to talk about Roswell. SOOOOO many good memories, even if the show was a steaming pile of crap.
At least I'm fangirlie enough in my fangirlings to know that what I fangirl is garbage. ;) Ya know?

Yes ma'am, I was a HUGE fan (and still is) of Roswell. I was in college at the time... and man, I chose my classes around the schedule of Roswell, making sure I won't have to be in school during that one-hour slot. And death to anyone who tried to call me at that time... but of course all my friends knew better than to (god forbid) disturb me during the show ( ... )

And that be all now, really.

Anyway... Yes you're absolutely right about Tess. She was a tool for the producers. You know, she wasn't even supposed to revealed as the other alien until season 1 finale? But the Network wanted it done sooner - to boost ratings.
And the only reason they kill Alex off was because Colin Hanks got cast in Orange County and wanted out of his contract.
I think that's why I LOVE roswell so much. It's the only show I know of that canon isn't really canon. We all made out our canon. Mine is a mixture of the books and show and other fics that changed my life.
As for vids, Polarocity, my lame-ass, not updated in FOREVER site. All my vids are there ( ... )

The funny thing is, it isn't as though I liked Tess THAT much during season 2. She sort of grew on me, but I wasn't yet an avid Rebel or anything like that. In fact, I was biting my nails at the upset in balance btwn Max and Liz when Tess first made her appearance. Yet when she was revealed to be this evil, conniving bitch that screwed everyone over and killed Alex, it was just... No, that so did not happen! After the finale, I remember sitting there and thinking WTF just happened?! And then of course, season 3 just went downhill after (not that it stopped me from being glued to the TV whenever Roswell aired of course ( ... )

There are three different series of Book.
1. Roswell High Series - These are the ORIGINAL 10 books that the TV was loosely based off of. The first scene of the first book is almost exactly the same as it is in the series. I highly recommended the Roswell High series. They go in COMPLETELY different direction than the show, and they are for a young adult audience, but I liked them. They add a little something extra to the canon.
2. Loose End Series - I think there are three of these, maybe? They take place in the TV canon, and somewhere after season 1. They are okay, don't really add anything to canon, but just as a Roswell freak, it's nice to read them.
3. A New Beginning Series - Theses take place after the end of the series. It's kind of like the 4th season. They aren't THAT great, nothing amazing. But as least it offers a little more closure than the series did. I enjoyed them, but then again I read them right after the end of the series, so I was desperate to get anything to do with Roswell ( ... )
