Week One, tons of fun!

Well, this has been an awesome week!

So classes were a little intimidated at first (I haven't taken a physics or calculus class since RPI, 2 years ago, so when I had to remember things I learned in those classes I freaked out a little bit.) Yet at the end of this week, I have the feeling that things will work out.

I got to hang out with my sister just about every day, we had the same off period 3 days a week, to do lunch, but she switched her schedule. But I still see her all the time, which is really awesome. It makes boulder feel like home (along with living here of course, it seems to make a difference). This really is the first time I feel at home in Boulder. I also see people I know all over campus, which helps me feel at home as well.

So all this week I had the goal of finding a job on campus within the department doing something related to my major. So I talked to just about every teacher who would listen, but what really worked was talking to my Adviser. After sending him my resume, which he forwarded to a whole bunch of people, I got about 4 job offers/interviews in one day. So yeah I'm really excited, and all next week I'm setting up interviews and talking to people about work. So for sure I'll take one of these opportunities, so I won't have to commute and be a life guard during the semester anymore. This turns out to be really good because my boss only scheduled me for one day for all of my September schedule request... So much for seniority. Oh well, all the more reason to get out of there. So I'll let you all know what job I end up taking.

Another very exciting thing this week was turning in all of my study abroad application, they start reviewing applications on September 1st. So I may be finding out really soon about what next semester will be like.

On Saturday night Andy took me out. We went for Sushi; we were a little over-dressed for the restaurant, but it's okay because I looked hot. Anyway it was really good to see him again and spend some quality time together. Later that night we went out with one of my friends who was turning 21. It turned out to be quite a nice night all together.

Stay tuned for next time...
