The rock that changed the world

"Throwing this rock will change the world" said Dan as he launched a rock off Green Mountain. Andy, Dan and I watched it travel through the midnight air and land in an nondescript slope of the mountain. I figured that a rock wasn't significant enough to change the course of the world...

The next night Andy and I agreed that Dan and his rock did indeed change the world. At least for me, the conversation and the conclusions we reached changed something. This is the way philosophical conversations go. I love philosophical discussions, it's been a really long time since I've had such meaningful conversations. That rock will never been seen by any of us again, but it will always be remembered. The rock that symbolizes these discussions will always be with me.

It felt like there was a mountain between me and where (and who) I need to be. And with something as small as a rock being thrown, the mountain will be reduced to reveal the place where life is leading.
There is nothing quite as nice as a philosophical discussions to reveal the beauty of a friend. I am completely amazed at the friend I have found in Andy. For as long as I've worked with him, we never were more than acquaintances. Yet in the last 3 weeks he as quickly become one of my closest friends, and I am so glad to finally know the amazing person that he is.

I moved out of my apartment today and I'm going to Hawaii tomorrow!!! I'll post when I get back!
