What a week
Where to begin? At the moment I am plagued with an ear infection which seems to be everlasting. Thankfully, I have an appointment for my yearly medical scheduled tomorrow. The coincidences of life are amazing arent they? I really did not plan to fall sick right before going to visit the doctor. Instead I wanted them to find all the other strange things that are happening to my body. I wonder if they do biopsies in this country or if I will get to go to Senegal?
Work has not officially started yet. The students came to campus and then they all left again on vacation because they know school really has not started yet. Interestingly 2 students were arrested a few weeks ago for cheating on an exam. One posed as the other. Finally, I have some reference when I threated my students about cheating!
The father of the family that adopted me in Japan died a few weeks ago. I was just informed yesterday. I will be trying to go to Japan during the summer to spend some time with the girls. Cant do much from here... and already have tickets to go home in a month.. which reminds me.. y'all should send me your new/old phone numbers so I can contact you when I come home.
Went on two dates last week... was interesting... Am going on another next week... HE actually promised to plan a "real" date here in Benin. It should be interesting to see what he comes up with. I look forward to being in normal society again. Especially since my pant keep sliding off without unzipping them (although they have already been altered several times). It will be fun for sure to go shopping at all the trendy stores.
