Has the world gone fucking nuts?!

I don't know if anyone still reads these, I know I certainly don't, however I cannot keep my surging feelings to myself any longer and, with no other available means of thought-output, I have once again returned to the infamy that is LiveJournal ( Read more... )

Even though I am your little sister and it's kind of against the unwritten rules of LJ to post a comment on a silbing's entry, I felt I must comment on this. Frankly, I agree with just about everything you said (however, as Frank pointed out, Flava Flav is indeed on VH1).

1. Personally, I think people just need to learn how to take a joke. The world got WAY too upset about this whole comic strip thing. It's such bullshit. Rascist? Welcome to Comedy fucking Central, people. Honestly, are Americans the only ones who can take jokes about themselves anymore? However, once again, we are getting all up in everyone else's business and making this our problem too. It wasn't, and shouldn't be. Does anyone else notice a pattern of this forming?

2. I agree. The Israel/Palestine thing is completely pathetic (no offense to anyone of either background here). I've had raging political debates about this topic and I've heard from both arguments. Honestly, I do not find that either are justified in killing all of their people in order to be in possession of some stupid land. Do they think their Gods won't love them anymore if they don't live in that peticular area? Well, if they do think that, (I really hope I'm not offending anyone here), that is pathetic. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, it just is (thiiiiis is why I'm agnostic).

3. When I saw "The Empire", I definitely did think of Star Wars (hahaha). That being said, I think it's true that the American Government uses a shitload of propaganda to brainwash the nation (and they are doing a damn good job of it). By the way, you know, I think Rove looks scary too. I always thought I was the only one who thought so, though.

4. As I said, Flava Flav is definitely VH1. However, I know what you mean. I also wish that it would go back to good television and good music. I remember Daria! Also, they have the same music videos play for like half the year in rotation every day and it gets kind of redundant, after a while.

5. I was definitely sad when I found out the Steelers won. I didn't watch the game though. I know, I make a terrible American.

Our species is doomed to failure. Ever read the book "Animal Farm"? I think that's what is gonna happen to our society, eventually. Perhaps in a few hundred years. But I think that that concept of fascism and dictatorship is already slowly being put into progress....

Love,
Your little sister (haha that's right, bitches. An eighth who's not a complete idiot!), Hillary.

P.S. Perhaps we can continue this debate the next time you come home?
