I finished at long last The End of the Affair. It's a bizzare little book. I hated it while I was reading it but I'm one of those people who when they've started need to finish. Now that I've finished it tho I'm somewhat fulmmoxed cos actually, I think the book is actually quite clever. It's certainly a very peculiar little book. But it's one that definitely gets better as you get into it. And there's also a rather intriguing twist. Anyhoo, I'm going to release the book into the big wide world of book crossing. Not something I've done before but should be fun.
Now onto 'The Accident' by Ali Smith. I've actually been reading it contemporaneously with said End of the Affair. It's pretty good but not sure I'm taken with the writer's style. After that, I've got 'The Secret Life of Salvador Dali' to read which I'm really looking forward to. It arrived the other day from Amazon/Book Depository.
The weekend was a bit pants. Was defo not feeling myself. Was pretty down if truth be told. Feeling better tho.
Moved back thru to Edinburgh yesterday. Planning on going back to work tomorrow - EEEK! I understand thing are really busy. Hope they go easy on me! It'll be great to see all my friends at work tho - have really missed them.
Was at hospital today - results from CT are good. Don't need to go back until 2008 for check-up. Yay!
Needed new suit so popped into MacArthur Glen outlet centre. Woah! So many bargains! Need to go down there again soon for proper shop. Some real bargains to be had. (I'm a sucker for sales!)
