...because I seem to be developing a fixation with Lester and Becker. Not quite advanced to Lester/Becker but it does seem to be scuttling down that slippery slope.

Lester strode into ops, face pinched with irritation. “So where’s the new Neanderthal Caveman the military have graced us with this time?”
Jess looked awkwardly over Lester’s shoulder.
“He’s behind me, isn’t he?”
She nodded.
“Excellent.” Lester swivelled on his heel, not even pretending apology. “James Lester. Good to have you.”
A dark eyebrow raised. “Hilary Becker. I only use Neanderthal Caveman on ops...although, technically it’s Captain Caveman.”
Jess stifled a giggle.
“Humour?” Lester considered. “No. Don’t like it. Make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
“Sir.”
“As you were.”
And he strode off again swiftly without glancing back, lips twitching.
