Drabble prompts please

Mar 21, 2017 13:09

So, I know this LJ entry is basically talking to a wasteland with a tiny amount of lost souls wandering on it, but I am trying to kickstart inspiration...and I remembered I used to have fun writing drabbles. And I found the drabble table of doom chart I made for requests. Anyone got any requests/prompts/whatever? Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?

How about a Pros drabble? e.g. Bodie and Doyle following a suspect in Harrods.

Ooh, there's comedy potential in that. I like it. Ta!

I'm so glad you hit on the comedy bit! And I was actually thinking of the Food Hall but that might tie you down too much.

Specifics are cool. More of a challenge...it's been about thirty years (eek) since I have been anywhere near Harrods so specifics will take a teeny bit of visual online research to inspire me. I was just going to go with pinching the Father Ted idea and have them trapped in the lingerie department :) Clearly my mind needs to get out of the proverbial gutter and be more inventive.

Stephen/Ryan + Unintended consequences

Nick/Stephen + Cover story

Ohh, interesting. Now 'cover story'...is that a magazine cover story or a cover story for an op or are you going to be annoying and say it's whatever I want it to be *grin*? Never written Nick so that's a new one (actually might have a dreadful Nick/Connor drabble somewhere that will never see the light of day) - surprises me he hasn't ever inspired significant writing from me. Strong Scottish characters usually make me want to - a chance to harness my own sense of humour. Maybe it's his general grumpiness that was the flaw. I was actually going to stick a Ryan/Stephen one on the list for myself so you have saved me the hassle. Sort of. Still have a drabble in my head that doesn't fit the prompt so might be forced to write two for them.

Naturally, it could be either!

Would be great to see you writing for Primeval again!

*grumbles* Knew you were going to say that. Write for Primeval again? Does three drabbles really count as proper writing :) ? Forgot to say I read your fantastic Schofield/Stephen fic the other day. I had completely forgotten about that. Still utterly utterly amazing, and, yes, I still have a thing for Matthew Reilly books. And Mother.
