(no subject)
Wow...I have no idea where to start after leaving y'all hanging for so long. The past couple/few weeks have gone pretty fast. Work, ya know. Last week was a lot of fun. Some of the best news I have is that I found a roommate! I went to a wedding last weekend and was talking to a friend I've known for 4 years but who I haven't hung out with in ages, and it turns out we were both looking for roommates, so tada! I'm pumped, cuz we talked about pretty much everything we should talk about, and I think she'll be pretty easy and fun to live with. As long as I keep my mess in my room. Haha. So yeah, working on switchin to a two bedroom, which shouldn't be a problem. So yay! That night I also babysat the bride's nieces when I left the reception and made $60. Yay for drunk parents paying in advance...
Last week I was back and forth between here, Windom, and Luverne. There was family around all week, and I drove a lot, but it was good. Spent the weekend in Luverne, Sunday night in Sioux Falls, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in Windom, back to Sioux Falls for Bible school Wednesday night, back to Luverne to sleep, to Windom Thursday morning and then to Mankato to shop, back to Sioux Falls early Friday morning to work, went to pick up my cousins in Luverne and bring them back to Sioux Falls Saturday to babysit with me, then back to Luverne for the night, then back to Sioux Falls Sunday to stay. Phew. Went to see Pirates on Sunday, it was pretty sweet.
I had some awesome talks with my cousins on Saturday. I took them downtown and to the Falls and then babysitting, and it was when we were babysitting that we finally started to really chat. We talked about insecurities and stuff, and I dunno...it was just really good. Dana and I stayed up till 2am giggling, and it was like old times. I hope we get to hang out when I'm out in Colorado. I really wish I got to see my family more.
Today at work I came close to hating my job. The kids were AWFUL and would NOT listen to ANYTHING! We had to take away the pool from a few kids, and then I got yelled at by one of the parents later for it. I was NOT happy. I went for a little retail therapy when I was done. I just get so frustrated, and I'm working 43.5 hours this week. Actually 44 cuz I had to stay an extra half hour today. Tomorrow I work 10 hours and then do 3 or so hours of Bible school. I'll be quite tired and possibly crabby because we're taking the kids to a Canaries game tomorrow and it's supposed to be almost 100 degrees and then I work at 7am Thursday morning. Okay that's enough...I mean...doesn't even really cover everything, but hey, it's good enough, right? It's hot. Mua!
