(no subject)
I'm sitting here in Windom, MN, and I'm extremely bored, so I'm going to try to make a semi-short entry...as short as an entry that needs to cover a week and a half of craziness can be!
So...finished finals. I can't really remember that far back. Oh, Kristen's and my grad party was fun. Lots of cool people showed up, and I got notes from a lot of people saying they would have liked to come but it was finals. Oh man, Heidi just called and now I've lost my train of thought... Okay...ummm...Friday, Riv, Kristen's brother Scott came with us and we hung out afterwards a bit with him. I nicknamed him Skippy cuz he's on crutches. Saturday was rehearsal, yadda yadda...moved most of my junk out that afternoon and went to Luverne for a while to hang with the fam. Got a laptop from my parents for graduation and a nifty carrying case from Em&M. And M. Brought my fam to Church at the Gate that night so they could experience my church, but it was kinda different...lots of fundraising talk and it was a Saturday night service which was different in and of itself. We got to release balloons, that was fun. After that we went to a grad party for a bunch of our friends, then to another one for Matt where there was a bonfire...well, a fire in one of those portable cages anyway. I love campfires.
Sunday we woke up smelling like campfire. It was nice. Baccalaureate, then lunch at the Ground Round, where I biffed it in front of the entire restaurant. It was special. I laughed really hard. Graduation was boring. I kept thinking, wow, this is my college graduation, I should be paying attention or something, but then my train of thought took me down another path and before I knew it I was walking across the stage to loud cheers and getting my diploma (cover) from the president. Yup. Got lots of pix taken. Went back to the dorm to move everything else out, checked out, took Kristen's fam and Ang to Pizza Ranch in Luverne. Went home to hang with fam.
Monday Ang, Kristen, and I left for Wyoming. Such a fun trip. We stopped at Wall Drug on the way out there. Tuesday was gloomy so we didn't do much, Wednesday we drove up into the mountains, Thursday we took about a two-mile hike outside of Story to Piney Creek. Want more details? E-mail me:P Friday K and I headed home, made it to the Riv, went to another fire, collapsed in L-town.
Yesterday we slept in and lazed around and I ended up being late to Nik's bachelorette party. We mini-golfed, which was fun. Then I brought some stuff to Heidi's and then went to Johnny Carino's. Yum yum food. Then we walked around the mall. Kristen and I left after that to go to Cool Beans to see some girls we hadn't seen in a while and to hear some sweet praise and worship music. We got back to Luverne by 10 and just hung out. Kristen left today after church. I am sad. And now I'm in Windom. And they finally want to leave. So I have to go. Perhaps there will be deeper thoughts coming soon. I'm sure I missed a ton, but I'm sure you don't care. Haha. God bless!
