Too many medical issues
You may recall me posting last week that my aunt and uncle were in a car accident and I found out about it on Facebook. Other than a couple of phone calls to his kids, all my info on their recovery has been through Facebook. My uncle went home earlier this week after surgery to repair a broken bone under his eye. My cousin/godmother is taking care of him. My aunt has had two surgeries, one this morning, to repair broken vertebrae. Luckily she was not paralyzed by the fractures. Her surgery today went well. I have no idea when she'll be well enough to go home. I have no idea if they will be well enough to come to my wedding. It sounds like my uncle probably will be able to, but my aunt may not. I hope he's willing to come without her.
In other news, many of you have seen me knitting baby hats and booties and freaking out about the fact that one of my first cousins, who is not much older than I, is a grandmother. (She's not the first one to become a grandparent, but the others are so much older than I that it didn't freak me.) In any case, her daughter has preeclampsia and is about to be induced. Grandchild #2 will hopefully make an appearance soon. (Grandchild #1 was born in October. I found out on Facebook.)
I need to get knitting.
