If I can do that (and a half, preferably) again this weekend, I might even make it through the race in 2 (!) weeks.
Another halfer in the books. Started & ended in Taconite. Not a bad run, really. Good combination and spacing of hills & flats.
Left work, went to wally world for oil, filter (and clothes hangers)... got home, changed clothes (after taking forever to find my shorts... they were still in my travel bag from last week). Found skates, but not helmet or gloves. Huh. (Turns out the helmet & gloves are in Susan still - she's down in the Cities with Ryan.)
Drove back to Taconite, got my skate in (if I keep this pace, I'll finish in about 3 hours flat, but my race skate usually turns out quite a bit faster than my training skates), came home, got the car up on ramps (after a couple tries, and much sending of things skittering in opposite directions... there are some disadvantages to concrete floors, I suppose), opened her up to get the motor cooling down a bit, and went inside to start on dinner.
Now, I got home about 6:45 or so. Two hours later, I'm sitting down to dinner.
*shrug*
My plan for this evening had been to make a dent in all the clothes - refolding, hanging up, organizing, etc. in addition to getting the oil changed. Weather was too nice though - getting down to the point where I can't make excuses to not skate. I *have* to finish the race! Clothes can wait.
Mmm. Bacon.
... and pasta, green beans, zucchini, red bell pepper, mushrooms, fresh dill, onion and a few cherry tomatoes.
I like this stuff. Which is good, I guess, because I make a huge batch. It also freezes well. When I go down to put the leftovers away, I'm gonna put it in small bags to toss in the freezer, so I can take one with me for lunch now and then. Break up the bagel monotony. : )
Wonder if I'll be able to sleep anytime soon.
Hah.
