exciting info about kelly's family
i had a very strange day. i heard from my grandmother, who has informed me that my mother is asking for my address. this may not seem weird to you, but you see..my mother has not spoken to me in over 5 years. she got really pissed off when i moved in with my boyfriend (now husband) because she is an intolerant card carrying southern baptist. also, she has been witholding money that was awarded to me in damages in the happy child-molestation case with my step-dad. i believe last i heard she spent it on my new step-father's motorcycle. so anyhow, you can see why this is a little strange. i'm scared she's going to show up at my door and throw holy water in my face or something!
and then, i heard from my little sister. she told me that she has just quit her job at the strip-club, moved back in with my grandma, and got a job at subway! this is also pretty shocking since she's been stripping for about 2 years now. i'm super excited about it, though! i realize it's a woman's right to do whatever the hell she pleases with her body, however i don't really think kimmy knew what she was getting into. she was always telling me horror stories about how the bouncers there didn't protect her, and she had some pretty scary crap happen to her..such as men buying her drinks and slipping her drugs, and her waking up 4 hours later on the bathroom floor. i am a perpetual worry wart, so i feel so relieved right now you wouldn't believe. i'm hoping now that she will be able to get off drugs and maybe go back to school. which ironically, she initially started stripping to make enough money to go to school.
and on a completely random note, i'm reading "if the gods had meant us to vote, they would have given us candidates" by jim hightower, and it is hilarious!
