Fic of the Week
Again, sorry for how late this is, but the fic is completely worth it! This week's fic of the week is by livia_carica . I actually stumbled across their journal when searching for Sherlock art (and let me just say, the artwork is also excellent), and realized that I had read several of the stories on the kink meme already! I hadn't connected between so many of my favorites and had not realized that they were, in fact, written by the same author. I was quite delighted.
Anyway, I have yet to read all of the fiction on Don't Touch the Figs, but of the stories I have had the pleasure to go over, my favorite would definitely have to be Day of Rest . The tone of the story is lovely. It encompasses everything a day in bed should, from the wonderfully lazy sense of knowing you don't have anywhere you have to be, to the delicious comfort of having someone to share random pillow talk with. Despite Sherlock being completely forced out of his usual element, he is still fully in character, displaying an underlying fidgetiness at not being on the move, but subdued nonetheless for the day by John. All in all- EXCELLENT.
