You move to a different sound.
I'm happy! I just finished my first-ever promo that I wrote, produced, and edited. I did stuff for FemmeFM and production classes at North Central but this is the first time I've worked with the software and done one at this station. We just got our new production studio so that's how I even got the chance to do it. I'm totally nerding out over it, but I think it turned out really good. Coming soon to a WBIG near you!
Also work-related, we interviewed Alex Borstein who plays Lois on Family Guy today, and you can check it out on myspace. She was funny, and did lots of Lois voice stuff in the interview. Cherry Chevepratrundong or some really long name was in the interview too, she writes for the show. So it's pretty entertaining, I recommend you check it out. If it's your sort of thing.
Isn't it beautiful outside, fellow Chicagoans? Today is just a lovely lovely day. I unfortunately have to be indoors for most of it but at least I spent my lunch break outdoors.
The weekend was good. What did I do, you ask? Well, Friday night Tim and I attempted to go to Looptopia, which was this big free all night extravaganza in Chicago. Sadly, everyone else in the world had the same idea so we mostly stood in lines for 2 hours in 40 degree weather and then got Dunkin Donuts but the wrong size, flavor, and price; and spent money on parking; and decided we'd rather be watching this week's Office episode in Tim's living room. So we did. But not before witnessing a stupid child almost fall from a building ledge and another rather unintelligent individual get arrested for smoking pot on a public sidewalk. And lots of loud rabble rousers doing their thing, of course. Saturday was spent doing a bit of shopping but not buying stuff and watching Empire Records and Entourage and a late night trip to Denny's. Sunday was relaxed, didn't do a whole lot but it was a fun day nonetheless.
So yay, it's another week and let's make it a good one!
