Catch up
I can't actually sleep, so instead of just bumming around facebook for another hour I will update this much needed livejournal.
Grandad

Well, Grandad passed away on April 18th 2010 and he had a very fitting funeral, with members of the family, old comrades and members of the National Union of Mineworkers.. Obituary: http://announce.jpress.co.uk/4072698?s_source=jpno_mc
It's hard to think that he's gone, he was such a special part of my life, and such an amazing carer for my Grandma. Things have been pretty hellish trying to live up to the high bar that he set (a story for a different time). I wish I had audio recordings of him telling his stories though, I will miss them.
I went to Groezrock, it was amazing..

but a bit bizarre because it was inbetween my grandad dying and his funeral. Went with James, Reece, Emma and Adam.. Brussels was cool, but I suck as drunken bowling and Reece isn't gay enough for Belgian gay-bars..haha. I was impressed with the Belgian rail network and overwhelmed by the welcoming nature of the people who lived in Meerhaut where it was held.
Bands I saw included: Mighty Mighty Bosstones (alittle), Agnostic Front (best band of first day), A Sklyit Drive (a bit disappointing..), This is Hell (I think?), Pour Habit (Fun! Whatever Reece and Emma thoguht), H20 (Did someone say Stage invasion?),Good Clean Fun (Lived up to their name). Lovely little festival, shame about the freezing nights and beer stealing. But all in all, excellent weekend.
I have attended numerous events since.

April 7th - Big Blue Coffee Co. gig with Apologies, I have none, Rooftops and Just Panic
May 23rd - A fairly magical Fun. gig at Cockpit 2
May 29th - A sweaty Cutting Class/Get Over it gig at the Central in Nottingham
June 6th - RATM free gig celebrating their Christmas No.1 - a lot of travelling, great atmosphere but they could have played a couple more songs..
Other notable events:
June 21st - Started old/new job working permanently at Accounts Receivable
July 2nd - Got final overall degree - First Class I (WOOP!)
July 20th - Graduation (eek I'm a silly stresshead)
Liz's baby boy still hasn't been born..
I've packed up my room at Royal park road but i'm still here, house hunting hasn't been going well. Mental note, don't leave it until the last minute ever again. Cheers.
