Last night, we went to Auntie Sandy's for dinner-- as always, not nearly enough food to feed us all [insert eyeroll]. You'd have thought the entire army was coming for dinner-- swear to the sweet Baby Jesus.
I got to meet Clarence, who's my brother's roommate from Ft. Vermillion. He's a very quiet and well mannered guy who came dressed in a tie, and pretty much put all the rest of the men in our family to shame. They razzed him pretty good about it-- but he was a great sport. I have to hand it to my family; as wacky as we are, we'll welcome anyone and everyone to eat and enjoy with us during the holidays. I hope to see Clarence again-- nice guy. Oh, and apparently my brother got a dog? News to me, but yay! Her name is Lady.
The baby pool has reached forty dollars-- not a bad pot!
I got to see Auntie Sandy's pictures from L.A., where she went last week for her friend's fortieth birthday. Her friend is a personal trainer to the *STARS*, so she actually got to talk/take pictures with Tia Carrere (sp?) and Ryan Phillipe, among others. Apparently they also went shopping for Eva Longoria to find picture frames for her.... dog.. with Eva's personal assistant (so that she could have a picture of her dog in each one of her houses). My aunt marvelled at the grandeous and ridiculously frivelous lifestyle that celebraties lead-- and felt pity for poor Ryan Phillipe who was sullen and sour, and who was constantly hounded by paparazzi whenever she saw him. I'll admit, the pictures were pretty cool, but Sandy said she was very happy to come back to her family, real food, and a society where random women didn't look you up and down and suggest how you could lose weight (which apparently was advice that was dispensed to my aunt by an anorexic defense lawyer.... nice).
A week left until my due date. Akk! I was telling Troy yesterday how I think about how much I'll miss it being just him and me-- but then again, I have yet to comprehend how much a child could ADD to our lives. Hopefully, I'll find out soon- (which, if it's the 16th, will score me half of the baby pool!). :P
Hm. I need to go buy more chocolate eggs to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. I've already snuck a few too many.... dammit!
