(no subject)
Well, two assignments down... now I just have to finish off my portfolio - a short essay on schemes of work (which I will have to make up cos the college never gave me any), a literacy, numeracy and IT skills audit to prove I can read, write, do sums and use s acomputer (please) and a short description of "where I am now" in my learning journey. I cannot get motivated to do this - it is due in on friday so I guess I will try and get it done tomorrow.
This afternoon I have to have a meeting with my CM before my Sociology class. It is about the class who had the shit teacher formost of the year. I also have to pick up a load of marking to do and I am hoping she knows where it is. (I don't have an office or anything, and when I went to the Forensic Science office to pick it up (i.e. where the students handed it in) no-one had a clue as to where it was although I did get challenged as to whether I wanted to hand something in or pick up something that had been marked by a dude who could not have been more than 5 years older than me.
When I told Julie about my new job she said Halesowen are waaaay way way more organised and hands-on in terms of management and that I won't just be dropped and left to get on with things there. So looking forward to that.
I am looking forward to telling the Sociology class I got the job, actually. They all knew I was going for it cos one of them was there when I was telling Julie on the night of the Ofsted inspection and they keep asking me whether I have had the interview!
Today I got a card from clair - she wrote
"Well done! you're there! You're gonna be great cos you care so much about your students welfare and you spend time gettnig it just right. Love ya loads I'm proud of u!"
I love that girl :)
