Has any one ever been slapped by a piece of paper before? I knew the books in the school were magical but I had no idea they could become so violent.
I was reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens in common room just now; I borrowed it from the Muggle literature section of the library.
I was just up to the bit where the main boy Pip confronts Miss Havisham in her old falling apart mansion and she's staring at him still dressed in her ratty wedding dress.
It really was a fantastic scene and I was getting so absorbed that I was starting to imagine I really was in the musty dark room filled with old broken pieces of furniture.
This happens to me all the time so I didn't think anything of it until I smelt something familiar, the smell my crazy old grandmother has.
I looked up from the book and a disgusting old piece of baggage was staring at me, her face was creased with wrinkles and she was wearing a tattered wedding veil on top of her head.
She glared at me and then spat ""get out of my parlor, you insufferable slip of a girl!"
" Before slapping me right across her face!
The odd thing was that the slap stung in the way a paper cut does.
I blinked and suddenly the old lady was gone but my cheek was bleeding.
It looks like a standard daydream spell that some one tampered with.
I suspect Chris Baddock is most likely responsible, it's the sort of thing he does.
