Line of the Week
actually there are two lines-of-the-week this week, and both are from NPR.
the first is from a piece NPR did on people skipping work to watch World Cup Football (that's soccer to us Yanks). from an interview with a guy who runs a car wash:
"...i have three guys who work for me. they came in early, worked really hard, then left for lunch. i hope they come back!"
the second is from a piece on some giant food conglomerate, talking about the different products they produce for different tastes around the world. talking about England:
"...we have advanced dumpling technology..."
oh, yes.
