I'm having trouble sleeping. I don't know why, but it's seriously beginning to affect me. I have been getting 8+ hours of sleep this week, but I wake up feeling like I haven't slept at all. Twice this week I've reset my alarm for an extra hour/hour and a half and then gone back to bed, which is not something I can normally do. I don't think I'm any more stressed out this past week that I have been in the past month, but just this past week I've been unable to feel rested after sleeping.
Other news. Played Time's up last Friday. Had a terrific time, but I ended up drinking a full 2-liter to stay awake, which meant I didn't get to bed until around 5am. Worked for a couple of hours on Saturday, then went down and helped Chris and Lara move from their apartment into their new house. Got all of the big stuff moved, then ended up calling it a night. Sunday was spent working both of my other jobs, which meant that over the weekend I had no real time to relax.
Came in to work Monday, worked about 5 hours, went home, played 9 holes of disc golf, walked around Greenlake, proceeded to lose my wallet, got a phone call telling me that someone had found my wallet and to feel free to come pick it up. Went and picked it up, still had everything inside. Probably should have given the guy some sort of reward, but I was a bit flustered around then. Went home, exhausted, but didn't get to sleep until around 1am.
Turns out, I can now walk all the way around Greenlake without stopping to rest once. Much better than the first time I walked around the lake, when I had to stop 4 different times. It really helps that when I do it by myself, I can set my own pace and control my breathing by not talking to the person I'm walking with. First time I went, I spent alot of time walking a bit quicker because I knew Kyle had to go to work when we were done, and talking to Kyle, both of which kind of threw me off.
I think I might go home a bit early today. Not feeling rested today even with 9 hours of sleep and a 30 minute shower to wake me up. Been reading alot recently. Read Tigana and Songs of Arbonne by Guy Gavriel Kay. I think I've mentioned it before, but I thought both books were decent except that Kay can't write an ending to save his life. Read Lord of Light by Zelazny, and even though Shteevie/Tibbles/Jimmer all love the book, I thought it was all in all kind of boring. Right now I'm reading The Magic of Recluce by L.E. Modesitt, Jr. It's been very good so far. Probably going to try and play Time's Up again tommorow
Eh, there's probably other things I want to put down, but I don't recall what they were right now. Oh well, if something comes up, I'll post it, or I won't, whatever.
