Second week back at work: easier than the first. Feel pretty good today actually. Got a 2.6 km walk/jog in, cooked an excellent steak-and-salad dinner, and now I'm wondering what I can do so I don't fall in a heap and lose my momentum and energy. I could iron, but nah. I feel like baking a cake or making a slice or something. Dang it that's what I was going to buy. Custard powder. So I could make a slice out of one of my 1970's cookbooks. Tomorrow! I'll get it tomorrow.
Last week I was pretty much completely wiped out, having trouble getting out of bed, sleeping in, the whole shebang. Better today. Better on the weekend, I set my alarm and went shopping on Saturday and I think I am in love with Shepparton St Vinnies. SO MUCH STUFF. I may set aside a couple of HOURS to have a proper look in there, next Saturday I have free and unattached (I don't like dragging D along op-shopping as he really doesn't enjoy it as much as I do).
This Saturday we are going to see Neil Gaiman Talk and Read at the same time. You know, the thing, with the stories, and the being in the same 50 metre radius as one of my favourite authors. We got pretty good seats too! We'll head back to the awesome restaurant we went to before we went to see Attenborough, and have some more of their INCREDIBLE onion rings with garlic aioli. Bugger the steak, the onion rings were the highlight of the meal.
Anyway. Best harness this energy I have now and get something done.
