Directions of where I am heading

I've been on unofficial artistic hiatus since March I believe.  I still produced work but it was very little and one a weekly basis.  I stayed up until 5AM last night plotting out what I want to do and where my art is heading.  Lately, I've been looking at Audrey Kawasaki's works and have been inspired by her to start painting again.  I want to try painting on wood.  Wood is plentiful where I am and I want to hang my paintings on the walls of my house.

I want to paint my girls with long stream flowing hair and their animal companions and daemons without having the need to do backgrounds or stuff I feel I need to do.  I want to use colour in subtle areas to enhance and highlight.  I guess I just want to try something new and just paint.  Take one week or two weeks to work on a painting.  Use gouache, chalk pastels, watercolours and experiment- try something new.

All of these plans will come to fruition in the New Year when my husband buys his saw.  In the meantime, I am definitely going to keep them bubbling in my head.
