ficathons
Have I mentioned lately how I don't do ficathons or fanfic challenges because I'm rubbish when it comes to writing to order and I can't write 'short' confidently so everything ends up being about 10,000+ words?
Due stories list:
1) Jake 2.0 ficathon. Deadline: August 1. Estimated length? Maybe about 8,000-10,000 if I run with the idea I've got, but I dunno. The last time I wrote non-con for a ficathon it did not go down well, and there is some dubious consent in this one, so I may have to start another.
2) Doctor Who Choose Your Own Companion ficathon. Deadline: Er, 9th July. Estimated length? Really Frelling Huge. At least 20,000. Which means it will probably not be finished for the July deadline. But I'll probably finish it anyway and slink in late. Incidentally, I am putting Jake Foley with 5, Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric, to the surprise of probably absolutely no-one.
3) whofest fic. Deadline: I don't think there is one. Which is Very Good News. Estimated length? Probably just a few thousand words, thank goodness, I'm not really sure I can see a way for this particular request to become an epic. This is another 8-era Fitz-centric story, btw.
4) 100_situations. Jake Foley. 100 ficlets. See previous post. See me choke and die. At least there's no deadline again, so long as I post a fic every 3 months.
