I don't know if this is actually the weirdest thing I've written when there's Theatre of the Absurd still out there. But it might be a contender. It may also be the most self indulgent crossover ever.

Five intersections into the life of Jake Foley. Jake 2.0 & Miracles/BtVS/I-Man/Dark Angel/Firefly crossover. )

Which ones didn't you understand? I'm guessing I-man because I don't recall ever hearing you say you've seen the show. Have you seen Miracles? Did the BtVS one make sense, because I haven't rewatched the show in forever, I just remember the bits with Andrew & the slayers in Ats season 5.

It's awesome. If you ever want to continue it, I'll be reading eagerly. :-)

Those are the ones. Miracles was exposition-heavy enough for me to understand at least most of it, but I-man became rather confusing, though I still enjoyed the scene as such.

Yeah, it worked out fine, very in character. I can't help but wonder if Buffy's really choosing the right path there, but then I've been wondering that ever since Chosen.

But is it more, or less, indulgent than xovering Chrestomanci with the FF? *evil grin*

To be honest, I have just one Earthsea book, and that's Tombs of Atuin. The others I last read when I was about 14 because they didn't make the impression Tombs did. So I don't think I'm qualified to write a crossover...

I really enjoyed this fic, though I haven't seen Miracles or I-Man. But Jake having problems with metal detectors was a masterful idea.
The Buffy crossover had a really great in-character voice to it. I loved the description of Jake as "someone's loser college boyfriend" and of the Slayers as a "wacky Amazonian Kung-Fu sisterhood". As well as Buffy's easy dismissal of "Government experiments...".
The DA crossover was just a pitch-perfect idea of how these worlds intersect. So in-character, I loved "Max kinda wanted to take the opportunity to point out that a) they were still in the middle of the street, b) the guy was still naked and, like, c) totally too young for her, not forgetting d) there were assholes with guns not twenty feet away." It also seemed nicely reminiscent of Firefly ( ... )
