Ugh, saw it on tumblr. A lot of people writing for the womenfest seem to be getting flack for their entries. It seemed to be some people who were defensive of their own favorite female characters that they took it out on others. Which isn't right; even if you don't like a character, there's no need to start bashing. :/

Though I will say that I still love the entire idea of the womenfest comm. <3

In a way it makes me kind of sad that a lot of those things even need to be said. Of course, dropsofgleam is completely right and this is quite well written ♥ But lmao why does it even need to be said that "bawww she gets in the way of FrUK/USUK/etc" even need to be said? Why is that even used as a reason? UGH. Just. jfc. It's not like France/Seychelles or England/Seychelles is any more of a canon ship than FrUK or USUK; they just get some shiptease too. And lol yeah some people [including me] ship Seychelles with one or both of them. So? What does what the fans do with Seychelles have to do with the canon character? Nothing. It's not stopping you from enjoying FrUK or USUK, and uh. Your ships are still two of the most popular in the whole fandom, so Sey's existence and a few fans shipping her with half your precious OTP isn't hurting you =/.

I honest to God hate when people hate a character based on the fanon surrounding them. C'mon, that's just silly.

And there's no reason to hate Seychelles (or Belgium, for that matter) because "she stands in the way of those pairings" because neither of them do. Not unless Himaruya decides to make any of those pairs canon.

And yeah, both FranSey and EngSey aren't even that popular. Even if I did wish to see more.

I saw someone saying they hate the canon Romania because fans ship him with Hungary. Uhm, what? Also I don't apologize for shipping it ='|.

Seriously, it's so fucking dumb. Yes, there's canon shiptease, but so fucking what? Doesn't mean FranSey or EngSey is actually canon, and your fucking buttsecks ships will always be more popular, so fuck off.

I always want more Seychelles pairings. All of them. FranSey, EngSey, HunSey, AmeriSey, GerSey, Monaco/Seychelles, ANYTHING. I honest to God love Seychelles with anyone.

Also ugh FUCK THE BELGIUM HATE. That shit really pisses me off because lol I don't even ship her with Spain or Romano, and her interacting with them =/= her getting in the way of them. Let me just love BelBel and ship her with Switzerland in peace.
