tan got more than he bargained for when he picked oblio to mind-control. i bet part of the reason why he picked oblio is because oblio has a sweet ride *obviously hasn't started on story mode... YET*

okok this is a really quick entry; i need to be off somewhere really soon! tonight edlynng and i plan to dc till morning! NO ONE WILL STOP US and we'll see if we can get through the story mode!! really excited about this; even had a dream kind-of about it last night haha
but before that, a super quick doodle because it's miss aubrey's birthday (20th october)!!

the PRECIOUS cinematic bits of the story mode
that plot twist revealing oblio as dr tan's son was TOTALLY UNEXPECTED DJSKALDSJALKDSADSA to quote edlynng (who indeed stayed through to the morning at 7:30am..!), it was like a star wars "I AM YOUR FATHER" moment. it's crazy, because limbebe and i were joking about it when the first cinematic trailer was released; about how funny it would be if dr tan and oblio were father and son, and how there´d be so many AWKWARD MOMENTS between the two of them! not to mention oblio would be OBLIO TAN. so i was pretty much STUNNED when this father-son relationship was not a joke but indeed CANON HO SNAPPPP
about the story mode, it didn´t take ed and i too long; thanks to our combined effort we got through without a hitch! it's really funny; ed and i talked (unintentionally) as if we were time travelling: 'we saw that bolgo move in the 70s right' 'no it was the 80s' HAHAHA dance central 3, breaking the fourth wall indeed.
speaking of the 80s, oh MAN that was the hardest era, HANDS DOWN. with all these pop and lock routines which we were COMPLETELY CLUELESS about! about our favourite craze, we went with the macarena because it's the easiest (and therefore the most fun because we could ROCK OUR MACARENAS), and hey, 90s REPRESENT WHOOP WHOOP
the 90s were a little tough though, i admit; seeing how we didn't really try any 90s songs apart from maybe ice ice baby and everybody before starting story mode, everything else was pretty much new to the both of us. oh snap, when we got to realising we had to dance to teach me how to dougie in the 10s, there was simultaneous WEEPING of WHAAAAT from the both of us, seeing how our feet aching. the same with dancing "sexy and i know it" straight after "bass down low";;; and of course, there was more weeping when we realised we had to do "scream" and "omg" too. when i first got up today after a pretty short nap, i realised how i didn't ache so much? now however, i feel EVERYTHING ACHING, from my thighs, to my neck and back, uuuschhh TT3TT;;;; i guess it's a good ache though; i mean, it indicates we WORKED OUT, right?;;
ah, again, the cinematics with the crews were really fun to watch ;v;//// somehow, i expected a little more cinematics than what we got (maybe because it seemed like a great deal of emphasis was placed on the story mode when the game was being publicised), but hey i'm glad for all the scenes we got to watch ;v;///// the 70s bit was like AUUUGHHHH POOR ANGELLL TTATT and when he was like "let's get the queen back to her castle" you feel kind of SAD FOR HIM because he really likes the 70s but he's doing this out of LOVE FOR AUBREY AHHHHHHHHH (ok also because of obligation to DCI BUT THIS TOO OK)!!!!!!!!! the scenes between mo and glitch is really fun to watch; glitch is really like mo's protégé, and when mo gives him instruction he just TAKES IT eeeee//////////
WITHOUT A DOUBT, HOWEVER, the 00s cinematics were my favourite!/////

bodie let me stare into your eyes forever
when bodie pauses to wave at the people outside with emilia i SWEAR i could very well be one of those girls holding the banner outside YES! it also makes me relieved that all the things he says seems to be part of that "tv personality" he's putting out TTvTT bodie is still the same as before, behind that facade ahhhhh//////// when he talks to the "camera" and emilia is like dude it's off hahaha that's cute too; a more silly part of bodie? in dc2 he seemed to the person who was in charge of the crew (slightly) more than emilia, but here it seems to be the other way round? :o also, emilia grows girlier with every continuation of dance central HAHA from her movements and the way she said stuff! i like this change, don't get me wrong!/// when emilia's going we need to go back and bodie nods and they stare each other contemplatively, that's HILARIOUS too HAHA. oh and also when they're both captured (GASPS ALL AROUND when they were), and bodie's like "hey that's not cool bro", i'm sorry but i think that's an AMAZING LINE HAHAHA/////// oh man sorry i'm GUSHING and that close-up shot of the bro-fist they do WAAAH TTvTT////
when dr tan shows the picture all of the beloved crews being eaten by DINOSAURS that was honestly terrifying to watchCRY;; funny, yet terrifying??? i thought the final challenge would involve the tan-step routine somewhere (unlocked it before getting to story mode), and was really surprised when it didn't turn up. i guess it's nice they made use of the shorter routines for the crazes with that showdown with dr tan, but somehow it didn't have that same kick as it had with dc2's final showdown involving ALL the full length routines at one go?? i guess having omg after all that makes up for that, in a way;;; oh and i was a little confused when we had to dance against tan with our freestyling?? i mean, there was still that ring under him which would go red, and ed and i were like, as we supposed to imitate what he's doing??;;;
oh, and i had the impression we'd see dare and maccoy somewhere in the story mode, apart from that brief second where they appear on the screen in dci! T3T;;; i really would've liked to see them interact with each other, for a sense of their crew dynamics? also, it seemed like a hole in the plot, since we only assume from the pixel art in the credits they came back safe and sound? ;3; unlocked the decoy crew and they're really cute though//// i can't help but wonder if they changed maccoy's actor; this new maccoy seems a lot tamer and not as crazy?? i kind of prefer his old voice better TvT;;; speaking of decoy, maccoy seems to have the weakest trash talking skills EVER LOL all of us watching were going "what" whenever he spoke! dare's still cute though eheheh/// OH RIGHT, from the crew intros and outros, we know that bodie's favourite pizza is PEPPERONI! oh, and in a lu$h intro, angel's like "another way (??) to show off in front of my girl" oh angel TTvTT//////// speaking of which, i'm really stunned that this raggae-ish routine didn't go to him, but to GLITCH T3T;;
another song i felt could go to angel would be beware of the boys?
it's a pity that angel doesn't have very many hard routines under him ;3; the only one i can think of off the top of my head is poison, but even that isn't mad hard? he is kind of fruity in dc3, which is fine because it's funny, but i was hoping they'd give him songs as well where he could all cool, slick and suave in T3T;;;
another routine-character match which i thought was strange was bodie to samba de janeiro; maybe it's because that's not the kind of song i'd associate with him?
well that being said, i guess its intensity as a workout routine does fit. i remember watching this video and thinking "this is a 5 star song? seriously?? but it looks so easy" but when it came to actually doing the routine, the routine essentially was a KILLER. speaking of which, moves like jagger is a killer too. i didn't like the routine when i first saw it, but oh man it's really fun to do *v*////
ah, and special love to lil t and glitch who have this school-vibe going with their blazer and calculator-suspenders respectively; this makes them easier to ship/SHOT
another thing i'm wondering; is there anything to be unlocked out of the story mode ;3; i really like how they've retained that "classic" crew challenge mode after you complete the story mode, but it seems ed and i cleared all the riptide songs, but couldn't access the QR code ;3; apart from unlockable content on handphones, is there anything you can unlock after going through the story/crew challenge mode?;;; i dunno; somehow you just don't feel as accomplished unlocking content by levelling up, as opposed to working yo' ass out to five-star a song to complete a crew challenge to get outfits for your characters;;;
and just to check, is it just me, or is miss aubrey jealous in that panel where emilia and angel and talking?? and can we assume there will be a dc4, and the glitterati will be the rivals once more?? i must say their panda eyes are most strange;;;;
hmmm i don't think there's anything else i want to talk about, pertaining to dc3 at the moment. gosh, this has been a super long ponder, hasn't it;;;
