disappointing appointment
I went in for my dr. appt today. 2 weeks ago at my last appt. they told me I was 1cm dilated. Today he says i'm "barely even 1cm dilated" and my cervix has not softened at all. It looks like this baby won't be here anytime soon. I'm scheduled to have a non-stress test done and some monitoring done next Monday on Jan. 3rd then I'm to see my regular dr. right afterwards to discuss a date for induction. The dr. today said even if i'm induced, if I'm not progressed any more than I am now, then I run a high risk for a c-section. One week from this upcoming Saturday (On January 8th) will be my 42nd week so that's the latest they'll let you carry. I'm really hoping to avoid a c-section though. With Christian I was only 3days late and in labor 5 1/2 hrs. Somehow I was expecting this one to go just as smoothly, but apparently not.
