A/N: A late request fic for MatsuJun's birthday

Mao had been snooping around his room.

Though it would be hard to tell because of the objects littering around that were his gifts, the little alteration with their position would not escape his eyes.

"You're looking for something," he had said when he finally caught her in the act. She should've noticed his presence if she was not busy stacking the untouched gifts.

"Ah! No... No, I just came to see you but saw you were not around... These are much too many gifts, ne? I was actually going to see how much but I hit one stack..." she had answered, gesturing towards the mess, fidgeting under his gaze.

He would have laughed at her expression while coming up with her excuse. She was just adorable he could kiss her. But, not yet...

"Is that so?" Jun let out a breath leading her to believe it was of relief. "Good, I was almost thinking you were looking through my things. So... What do you want from me?" His eyes briefly went to the discreetly slipped greeting card under a not so random gift just behind Mao that she hadn't noticed.

"I... I want to ask about your birthday... Yes, that's it. Because I heard that the members have prepared you a surprise party. So... How's being 27?"

"..."

"Well?"

"... Average. I feel normal and the rumor is false," he smirked.

Mao flushed, "Stop teasing me!"

"Haha!" Jun laughed leaving the lady breathless. "No really, it's just the same as always. Nothing's changed."

"Is that so...?"

"Yup, it's that so." Jun leaned on the door frame, arms crossed.

"Ah... Oh, about my present for you! I still haven't bought it. That's all. I'll be going now, ja!"

Mao left the room as if a stinkbomb was released in it. And Jun watched woman's nervous back as it disappeared around the corner.

Smiling to himself, he skipped over the littered gifts and went over to the seemingly insignificant deep pink parcel - 'There's too many who also used that color of gift cover,' he had noted.

Flipping open the note, he read on. Just like how he had read it the moment it arrived. Just like how he did uncountable times after his birthday.

"Ouji, I love you."

He smiled yet again at how she faltered at the kanji of the word princess.

He could already imagine how she had unwittingly sent the item.

He still hasn't opened it. But time will come when he will... when the princess would finally confront him either of her gift or his feelings.

"Ne, Mao-himechan, you've already given me my gift." he grinned.
