From the octopus project
DD is on her third animal project of the school year. The current choice being the Giant Pacific Octopus, because this is the biggest one of all. The other two choices being the copperhead snake and something else equally unlikely for an 8 y.o. girl.
But, did you know that the only hard part of an octopus's body is it's beak? And that if it can fit it's beak through a hole it can eventually fit its entire body through the hole. The end result being that a 16 foot octopus can fit it's body through a hole the size of a quarter.
Update: I remembered the 3rd animal, a praying mantis!
