Who me? Don't know what you're talkin' about Riah. Been out and about for anyone to see.
[She's just not in the business of airing so much of said business for anyone to hear if they don't need to, and certainly not through a device of her captors.]
[Iriel wouldn't leave her behind, no way, not unless going back meant she'd go back to being dead again. That would be the only reason Iriel would pause to consider it.]
Yeah, can't wait for that too. Hmm. Where are you now?
[Sorry she doesn't want to talk too much about things from home just in case.]

[As good as he's getting, one thing he's still not used to is all the heat in this place. Right now he's got his shirt wrapped around his head, He does have his undershirt on however, otherwise he'd be scrambling for his clothes right now.
When she enters he smiles and waves and sets aside his latest project. With his hands on some steel, he's finally getting around to making some armor.]
You think the people here would use it against us?

[Iriel took a brief moment to notice the sweat he'd worked up, and his bare arms in his undershoot, and just as quickly shrugged her shoulders and focused on the conversation.]
You never know. There are some things they already know about us, but I'm not going to give them any more than necessary.
I'd hate to give them ideas about other people to pull from Halis to here.

[Which she almost never is.]
You've been keeping busy in the smithy anyway, haven't you?
Reply
Yeah, it's not the workshop but it'll do for now.
Reply
[Come on, you know that?]
Well if everything goes well, you and I will be back in your workshop soon enough.
Reply
[Yeah but that doesn't count.]
And Abeni.
[Because he won't leave her behind a second time.]
Can't wait for that. It's just not the same without the others around.

[Of course this being Zachariah, he's being pretty modest.]

I bet. Be there in a few.
[And she was, approaching Riah straight away.]
Sorry to cut things off like I did, I've been trying to get out of the habit of discussing things back home so publicly.

Yeah, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see them.
[It's a selfish thought and he's kicking himself for thinking it, but they're all he has left.]
Reply
I want to see them too. All of them. But at home.
[That was and always would be the sticking point. She wanted everyone where they belonged, not here in this awful place.]
Sorry y'got me instead of Fiel though.

[Him, Iriel, and Abeni.
What she says afterwards causes him to give her a confused look.]
Why would you think I want Fiel here more than you?
Reply
Because as good of friends as we are, I know you're easier around her. She's more of a team player.
[Meaning, Fiel wouldn't disappear and as often as Iriel did, would keep in touch better. And really, handled Riah better than she did.
It didn't bother her. She just considered it the truth.]
