Hey so anyone in the Boston area right now should go see Oliver Twist at the A.R.T. Amazing cast, amazing set... reminded me of Sweeny Todd in terms of mood and pacing. I only went because my parents won a subscription to the whole season in a raffle or something and my mom couldn't go. I was very, very pleasantly surprised. I shouldn't have been so surprised, I like almost all their productions, but seriously this was pretty awesome. Day of tickets are only $15, and you can come visit me! (Assuming I'm not STILL writing this ridiculous midterm paper...)
I want to see everyone over spring break, but I'm driving to Austin for SXSW so I dunno how that's gonna happen... I'm very very excited. 31 bands in 4 nights! And lots of lectures by awesome people like David Byrne and Iggy Pop and Emmylou Harris and shit like that. Most importantly those 7 Shot Screamers, John Doe, Kaki King, Dexter Romweber, The Stooges, and The Good, the Bad, and the Queen! I haven't seen Damon in like... two years? Anyway. It's gonna be good. AND on the way back I'm having dinner at Graceland. Because I'm that awesome (and it will be roughly dinner time when we pass through Memphis). I'll be gone from the 13th-19th including driving days, so other than that, come visit if you're in the square!
(Unfourtunately Liz, I'll miss Amon Tobin because he conflicts with Damon, so I won't be able to bootleg that for you. However, I told my dad to google your fish and he was very impressed.)
