Every time I bother to check up on what's been going on in this city, I'm reminded of exactly why I choose to ignore it most of the time. Killing each other, crying over it, and then declaring your desire for vengeance? It's utterly pathetic how much importance everyone here still ascribes to death under the circumstances, and it's ridiculous to think that anyone could even get much out of committing a murder here. Well-thought-out torment, that's one thing, of course, but the simple, straightforward killing?
There's nothing poetic about a death that only lasts a day.
