TWO weeks and two days ago was Imagine Dragons...
I had concerts two weekends in a row, so here's the former one. ;) My mailed tickets arrived, possibly *the day* before the show, to my relief and joy. Returned some ticket karma and set out in the light rain to get in line a bit before 4. The line wasn't bad at all, but confusion with the *hard* tickets and many various staffers (hey, these are VIP tickets, you're at the wrong entrance! These aren't VIP. *Very* good news, but I want to double-check. Okay, now you need wristbands you never got because the first dude thought you were VIP. Wait here for ages...20 min? idek.) had us get kind of a so-so spot. There were annoying drunk guys, but whatever, they also provided some lols. "That's a hella high belly button." <--dude responding to the most disruptive drunk dude, who'd lifted up his shirt because it was v. hot. His belly button WAS way "too" high-up, btw.
I liked Atmosphere more than I'd expected to. They had kind of an old-school rap style that spoke to me, plus all the dorktastic Minneapolis references and the crowd really into it.
Imagine Dragons were much fun, and OMG, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. I attempted to record it, which entailed jumping up onto the barricade at our backs, holding on with difficulty with *two* arms, but if using the camera, just one arm was available so it was that much harder. The strength training was the only way I could see though, except if you count a sometimes-view of the screen.
