Firstly: Thanks for all your comments! I couldn't stay at home last night and was feeling uber-shit when I got into bed. But Leo had his laptop out and pointed out that I had 12 emails- all of which were comments made within 3 hours of my post. Reading those made me feel a lot more warm and fuzzy.

Things aren't going too wonderfully. The more I think about it, I think telling my folks went a bit worse than I had imagined it. There was quite a bit of unregistered negativity in their response- and it was so much like I was being scolded for taking the last chocolate-chip cookie.

Now they're just ignoring it. Or not talking to me. Or I'm not giving them a chance.

Still, I got the sweetest SMS in class today. I hope Leo doesn't mind me quoting it.

"I don't know what to say to help or make you feel better or get through this easier. Of course you need to battle this out and put it into perspective or whatever by yourself. As you know, if you ever need to talk, cry or need a long warm hug, etc, I'll be here for you and understand whatever it is that you need. Thinking of you constantly."

I left out the mushy end, but it's all really sweet and makes me feel that much better. Horrible rollercoaster of emotions, but with all the sweet things people are saying, I feel much better.

Other things to feel good about:
* The ability to make such a list
* Successfully taking our Design History/Visual Communication lecturer to coffee
* Rehearsals going well (And making cool new friends)
* The prospect of getting a new computer
* Seeing Leo tomorrow
* Random people asking me to tutor them
* Getting a distinction in Design History
* Cathleen also agreeing to have my children (if she does choose to have kids, that is)
* My wonderful friends
* Snakes on a Plane the Rap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8-FbR4CinE

Other things to make me feel crap:
* Having to go write my Learner's license again tomorrow
* Unintentionally hurting Lorraine (twice)
* Parents-smarents
* Grey's Anatomy (Poor Izzie!)
* Various assignments
* Being broke
* The expense of above-mentioned computer

See? The good is outwaying the bad, right?
