It's the first day of the Freshman Orientation session we decided to attend.
After being kept up until 2:30am by certain toddlers who will be unnamed in this post, I got up at 6am and pulled myself together while daughter did the same. By 6:30 we were driving into the butt crack of dawn, since the University of North Carolina Wilmington is on the coast and we live 100 miles inland.
We actually made good time, getting there just a skosh after 8. The first thing they did was give me a t-shirt. I put it on backwards for the purposes of taking a picture with my pc camera.
The first presentation was a very energetic cheer/dance routine/song mashup by the two dozen student leaders for orientation. I watched part of it by watching my daughters eyes, which were shining.
