Day: 7 Characters: Jecht blitzballin & OPEN! Summary: Swimming lesson bonanza! Status: Open (tag yourselves in, posting order is loose. Tag anywhere and everywhere! :D)
It was easy for Yuna to slip into the swimsuit the hospital had provided for her, easy to fold her Summoner dress and tuck it away, brush her hair, wash her face... It wasn't quite so easy, though, to leave her room for the first time in days, since...well, since Jecht had called her aside to speak to her about Tidus.
Her heart had felt trapped, pinned in her chest by something she couldn't quite define. The hope that she'd always held onto, that had bolstered her through every moment of her Pilgrimage, was eclipsed somehow by that terrible weight, which seemed to drag behind her as she walked. There wasn't any proof that Tidus was in any kind of danger, and yet...she could still hear his voice speaking those calming words to her over the strange machina device that connected them all, and she held onto them like a dream, willing them not to disappear.
She didn't want him to be a dream.
Her head held high, the illusion of strength falling over her once again, she walked to the pool area, bare feet slipping a little on the ground. A real smile found her lips when she saw him--Jecht, looking proud and truly in his element, burying that same loss deep in his heart. She wasn't alone.
Jecht was feeling better than usual, and he looked over his shoulder when he heard someone calling out to him, greeted by a familiar face. Even though he had seen her recently, he couldn't believe that Yuna really had grown up. After all, when he had last seen Yuna, before this place, she was still just a little girl, but now... She had really grown up.
Yuna definitely seemed to be handling things well too, she looked... Happy, at least. Though, he figured that she was probably only smiling to hide the pain, after all she was closer to the kid than he was, and even he was still feeling down.
He waved over to her and offered a smile. It was just like old times, knowing that she would be watching him again. It almost reminded him of home...
The smile was what really did it; all of a sudden Yuna felt lighter than she had in days, the horrible weight pinning her heart to the ground lifting at last. She walked over to where Jecht was sitting, seating herself at the edge of the pool, her fit slipping into the cool water.
It felt nice. Sitting here with him...it was almost as if she was a little girl again, and he was about to show her one of his new Blitzball techniques. She was older now, though, and so much had happened since Jecht had disappeared from Spira, only to reappear in this place, wherever it was. Somehow, she didn't think it was the same sort of twist in fate that brought them here... Sin wasn't here, after all, and she was still trying to wrap her mind around the concept of a world without its constant threat.
It wouldn't do to think about it too much, though, not now. Not when they finally had a chance to really enjoy themselves. Giggling, she pushed herself off the edge and into the water, splashing about a little.

"Sir Jecht!" she called out, waving brightly.

“It's so cold!” she exclaimed.
