Characters: ALL OF YOU!!!
Summary: A party on the beach for staff and patients alike!
Status: OPEN (add tag as you come in!)
Fortunately for patients and staff alike, it was a beautiful night on the island. As the patients were filing out, a cool breeze came from across the water, the waves gently pushing up against the shore and then receding. The sun had just set, and the reflection of moonlight lit the water softly.
On the shore, lanterns had been strung up high, swaying in the trees and lighting the area which had been designated for the evening's activities. Nearer to where the sand faded into grass underfoot, tables had been set up with snacks. Chips, pretzels, cookies, fizzy punch, and sushi on ice. Not a full dinner, but enough snacks to satisfy everyone. Located near a few staff members (to keep the underaged away and to keep the older ones from taking too many) was an icebox with wine coolers.
A little ways away, if one looked up, it was possible to discern people in small towers. Guards-- and if one was familiar with them, it was also possible to identify modern rifles in their hands.
But that was hardly the focus of the evening. After all, for many, it felt as if it had been forever since they tasted fresh air...
