Ambivalence
You stare at me and you feel happy
I wish I could feel the same
I know your past and your impurity
Yet I’m glad when you call my name
I wish I could kill the guilt trip
Murder confusion, make it fade
Maybe then I wouldn’t get snipped
By the past, a razor blade
Indecisiveness holds me back
You look at me with radiant eyes
That shine when the night is black
How could I forget those eyes
It’s like I’m crossing a lake of fire
If I plunge into what I may regret
With impulse fueled by desire
It may be what I won’t forget
Untold Goodbyes
Like heart-sore Yeats in a sorry state
Dead in the winter cold
Summertime's end, goodbyes to attend
There's many things that haven't been told
I just might see you in December
My love will be down to embers
By then-my love worn soul
Will die and retire in the snowy white cold
And heart-sore Yeats in his sorry state
Loved Maude-she didn’t love him
Likewise, I don't feel so great
My future looks happy yet very grim
The blue-green twilight fades to black
My eyelids close to sleep, to rest
I've felt the rejection that Yeats can attest
And sleep can recount what rest I lack
Come With Me
Come with me, we'll go get happy/ Come with me, we'll smile/ Let's go crazy, let's go wild/Let's enjoy life with mobility
Let the wind blow away your pain/The river will cleanse your lies/Cut away old grudges and ties/Cleanse the anger that leaves a stain
Come with me we'll fly like birds/Into the clouds we'll disappear/We're so brave there's nothing to fear/Come with me we'll fade like silly words.
Power
Turning ice into water,
Seeds into plants
Glaciers into rivers,
All of this is
Power.
And there will be more to come.
