There's a hotel project underway near Shanghai that sounds *ultracool*.
The Songjiang hotel plans to turn an abandoned quarry 100m deep into a 400 room hotel. Using hydro/geothermal energy to power, heat and cool the building off, they're aiming for extreme energy efficiency. Plus having underwater passageways and in-property aquaria is just plain nifty.
